June's Club Outing by Dan Schwartz

We were at our favorite Sonoma Coast campsite, Stillwater cove by the island.

We had some non-BCD friends come and join us.

On Sunday morning some went north

while I went south to Fort Ross . \

Viz wasn't the greatest on the north side of the cove so decided to do some macro.

First I found a Hopkin's Rose anemone

then I found a San Diego dorid to photograph

Later a lemon dorid was the main subject. It was a really nice dive and if it wasn't for the Fort Ross "song-and-dance" you have to play with parking vehicles it'd be a place worth checking out more often.

On the way home I thought about the taste of nice fresh tri-tip.

But pondered that most really good meat is aged so I slowed down.
