April. Dive Club Outing Mendocino Coast by Carol

The weather was beautiful and the ocean had high surf warnings.

Curt and Roy roamed the coast of Mendocino on Saturday staying high and dry with a bit of ocean spray getting them as they plucked mussels at low tide. I joined them after work and a lovely potluck was held at the little cabin. Roy rose early as usual and scoped out Motorcycle Cove coming back in with reports of it being sweet. I walked down to verify, expecting to see the bottom of the ocean from the top of the bluff

Vis was maybe two feet and it was divable but more of a working dive in my opinion. Curt and Roy were undaunted.

They suited up and plucked two ab each in a short period of time. I picked mussels and longed for a cup of coffee. We hiked afterwards at Jughandle and enjoyed the fresh air and wildflowers.
