Whoa baby!!! June 21-22nd Sat/Sun Stillwater Cove, Sonoma 2 campsites ... what could round off the stressful week better???

A Damn Big BCD welcome to new members Sharol Sevilla and Janis Smith. Way to go girls!!! Welcome Home!!

An e-mail from a docent at Pier 39 SF...

New record high count Sat. at Pier 39 - 1,341 California Sea Lions!
It took two of us docents to count them all! Alicia Gottschall and I were
the privileged ones. I had originally added them up incorrectly as 1,361 (which may be more accurate since there were so many stacked on top of each other), but I re-added at the end of my shift since I had been distracted while adding them outside.
Will be interesting to see if the young ones stay here or head south in the
next few weeks. -Nancy Merchant

At our Meeting on Wednesday June 18th, Curt will be doing a Fish ID Presention. Know your Boccacio from an Olive Rockfish? Come join the fun!!

...or you can blow us off and hang with the good folks at the Farallones Marine Sanctuary:

"The Jaws That Bite" White Sharks of the Gulf of the Farallones
Wednesday, June 18, 2003, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm Upper Fort Mason, San Francisco
Presented by Peter Pyle, scientist for PRBO
